The Bigger Steps

This week I have been focusing my research to cater to my original work and I started to research about the blood and how it is affected in the process of ketoacidosis. I found a lot of things like how it becomes really acidic and it doesn't allow the blood to properly flow like it is supposed to.  This also affects the urine as there will be more ketones in the urine if the pancreas does not work properly.  

I started using clay to start framing my models of the pancreas and the neurons. I also started figuring out the light fixtures to use for the neurons so that they flash. Lastly, I used a box to demonstrate and represent the limb. I will be placing lights in the box to also represent the change of colour due to severe nerve damage when ketoacidosis is left untreated.  This was one of the ways I was successful this week. 

A way I can improve for this week is to start working the functionality of the  model and making sure that the water flows through the pancreas and to show the acidity and make it so that the lights in the neurons start to flicker.
