The past week has been a great opportunity for me to reach out to business professionals by emailing and calling them for interviews. However, this also gave me a learning experience on patience and determination. I had to do a lot of follow up calls or even just get rejected in general. I had to learn that it was okay for that to happen but I had to move on and keep trying.

The way that I was successful this week is that I got started with my original work on my topic. For my topic I wanted to make an interactive diagram that helps kids understand the consequences of unchecked blood sugars

Ways I can improve for the following week is keeping up with my cold calls as well as making my diagram actually become a 3D rather than a 2D model.

Something that I want to learn in the future is what signals the pancreas and the brain send to each other to maintain a healthy balance. This way I can try to incorporate it into my diagram where neurologists could also use it if needed. I would also want to further my research in beta cells. As I am growing my knowledge on beta cells, it is helping me see a better picture about how the pancreas's autoimmune system works.
